Animals of the East Mountain

Ok, I have to admit that I went to the Zoo some weeks ago, so I don't remember well what happened. That should be one of the reasons I have a blog: to help me to remember my past. Unfortunately I'm very busy (or lazy) to write everything, so I end up writing things that I remember by seeing the pics.

Anyway, some day that I don't remember, I went to the Higashiyama Doubutsuen (higashi - east, yama - mountain, doubutsu - animal, en - park) with some friends, most of them new friends that just came to japan to study. Its good to refresh friendships and make different things.

It was a very sunny sunday, the perfect dayt to bring your family. Indeed, we saw all kinds of happy families there, regardless of the superstition (more on that later). So here begins our journey!

The good thing of being a tourist is that we can make weird poses in public places and nobody cares ;)

Well it was a normal zoo. We could see some animals, flowers, the same thing as any other zoo. So I'll just show the pics.

The rhino was a little sad, I think... maybe the same way as all other animals trapped in zoos.

These are cute, but there is always one dumb guy looking to the opposite side of the pic.

Humm I have no idea about this one.

This is the japanese deer. Portuguese joke ;)

Lazy bears with big claws.

Family of giraffes... cute too. I guess the japanese always say the same interjection words: kawaii (cute), sugoi (incredible), kakkoi (cool)...

That's new to me, many kids drawing the animals, and with excelent results. They really try to perfect everything. It's the ganbaru feeling.

Sleepy koala. Anybody knows that he belongs to the same family of Timon, the annoying partner of Pumbaa from Lion King?

Monkeys doing nasty things.

There was also a little lake to expend romantic things with your beloveds.

You can use old fashioned boats...

Modern boats and even panda-rides!

We could also ride in mecha-stuffed-animals at 0.5kmph! Really breathtaking.

Too bad they didn't had any serpents, alligators, bats and other cool stuff. The upside was the children' zoo, where we could actually feed some farm animals and caress others. No pics, sorry. Instead, many flower pics from the flower garden, to express my delicate side.

This goes to my beloved mom, who I really miss...

...this to my sister, who makes the food that I dream about everyday...

...to my grandma, who taught me so many things...

...dad, who always supported me even from far away...

...rest of the family, to not forget my origins...

...girlfriend, my everyday teacher...

...friends, the most important relations in our lives...

...dog, my psychopath living toy...

...ps2, I really miss you here...

...and the last to cheer for the world peace.

Enough of flowers! The last stop here was the Higashiyama tower, a big panoramic tower where we could see the city from the clouds. Oh!

That's the mighty tower. Really cool, actually.

That's the sunset in grey. Nature always wins over the human-made beauties.

Rise, twist and shine.

In other day I heard that there is a superstition here that says: "If you go to higashiyama tower with your partner, you will break up". I don't believe much in these things, but luckily I was only with my friends.

Well, time to go home.

Always together, regardless of superstitions.
